Job Description

The Logistics Capability team is looking for a dynamic and driven Project Manager that manages capability delivery, enabling Global Logistic Organization's digitized logistic roadmap, driving value for Intel's business. The successful candidate will work closely with geo-dispersed IT partners and customers to deliver process and tool capabilities to meet business objectives. Moreover, the candidate will drive organizational change (different levels and functional roles).

As the Logistics Capability Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Support Business Architecture definition as well as performing business analyst functions within the project as needed.

  • Handle requirements that are cross-organizational with broad scope and high complexity or of broad scope and moderate complexity usually collaborating with functional/operational teams.

  • Exercise judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.

  • Proactively work with business management/stakeholders to support roadmap business strategies.

  • Work on project teams with System Analysts, Testing Analysts, and Business analysts (on large projects).

  • Work as a solution architect providing subject matter expertise or leadership to ensure the desired solution is designed to meet the value commitment.

  • Develop project business cases that specific problem statement, project scope, business value, and end state.

  • Gather, elicit, and document requirements through multiple channels including working directly with business stakeholders, functional subject matter experts, and operational leads.

  • Comprehend and map interactions and relationships of complex systems people, processes, information, and technologies.  Research and evaluate alternative solutions to satisfy business needs.

  • Create system/process improvements through identification and removal of non-value-added activities.

  • Perform fit/gap analysis to identify showstoppers and critical process and technical gaps.

  • Manage relationships, communicate, and negotiate with stakeholders that span multiple organizations, levels, and geo's and build RAPID or resourcing models if needed.

  • Cultivate a wide understanding of business processes and applying strategic thinking to understand, evaluate technical capabilities of solution options, and driving consensus with customers to set direction.

  • Develop solutions to problems by exercising innovation, business acumen, judgment, and discretion.

  • Work with a cross geo team essential that requires some international travel. (around 10 - 15%).

  • On smaller projects, the PM is expected to perform the project management function, including scope, time, and quality (including data quality) management; as well as,  gather and clarify business requirements with the customer to understand the business problem, as they will be the expert in the customer's business processes skilled to identify the value drivers associated with the project.

  • During the build phase of the Program Lifecycle or Software Development Life Cycle, the PM may perform testing as a quality check to ensure business and data quality requirements have been addressed in the solution.

  • When involved in testing, plan and execute User Acceptance Testing by creating test scripts; the PM will also coordinate testing efforts with end-users. 

  • In the Deployment phase of the application, project, or program, PMs are often responsible for coordinating end-user training and facilitating Train the Trainer sessions.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:  

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, Management, Computer Science, or related field of study.

6+ years of experience in at least one of the following:

  • Project Management/ Business Analyst.

  • Management experience leading cross-IT and enterprise-level engagements.

  • Supply Chain/Finance/Planning.

  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)/agile project management.

  • Knowledge of Total Change Management (TCM) methodology and tools.

  • PMP or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of Lean principles ( Lean/Six Sigma Certifications).

  • Advanced education or APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) or equivalent certification in Supply Chain Management.

  • Logistics and Supply Chain knowledge.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
