Job Description

Title: Logistics Department Manager

 

Function: Logistics

 

Department: Robbinsville, New Jersey

 

Reports to:  Call Off Manager

 

Direct Reports: Supervisor(s), Warehouse Employees

 

Overall Job Function:  Ensures proper service to the stores by leading, managing and organizing the Call –Off function. Responsible for driving and contributing to the overall Call off result by utilizing H&M values, policies and procedures. Collaborates with other departments as needed.

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:

  • Sets and monitors Call-Off (Replenishment) department goals with Call Off Manager
  • Collaborates with Call Off Manager regarding shared operational and logistical issues by managing day to day business challenges
  • Partners and communicates with other Call-Off Department Managers about pick orders, staff planning, efficiency and productivity
  • Responsible for coordination and control of the handling, storage, shipping and flow of merchandise through warehouse area
  • Analyzes and directs floor labor as a function of the pick orders, and shipping through supervisors.
  • Ensures compliance to H&M Logistic operational best practice work processes within your department and in cooperation with the DC management team.
  • Schedules personnel to ensure proper staffing according to business goals
  • Supervises and delegates responsibility and issues job assignments to staff by partnering with the supervisors.
  • Serves as main contact for the Flat Call Off function by communicating with stores, support office and all other departments as needed
  • Coordinates and manages store deliveries
  • Responsible for safety and cleanliness of the warehouse and communicating any needs to Call Off Manager
  • Ensures that the department is maintained to meet H&M standards at all times.
  • Handles general employee inquiries from supervisors  and staff and solves problems according to H&M guidelines & policies
  • Assists HR with recruiting as needed, coordinates training and develops team of supervisors and employees
  • Administers progressive discipline documentation and performance management to direct reports according to H&M guidelines
  • Organizes and manages special projects as needed

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:

  • Must have one to two years of management experience, preferably in distribution center and/or store operations
  • Preferably at least one year in Distribution Center Operations in a high volume, high SKU replenish and pick environment
  • Fluency in the Spanish language is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to company specific systems

  • Experience with recruitment, training and development of staff
  • Detail oriented, with strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
