Job Description

Main purpose of the job / Mission岗位 / 任务 目标:

As the head of logistics department of Alfa Laval China, manage, supervise, plan, and execute all aspects of the distribution operation & outsourced warehouse for the Alfa Laval divisions


Key tasks主要工作职责:

  • Manage and monitor all daily logistics operations and customer order delivery process for to secure high order delivery on time
  • Ensures all import and export transactions fully comply with company policies, local standards and global trade regulations.
  • Maintain inventory records that accurately itemize the product code and quantity of all inventory items include WIP, finished goods etc.
  • Establish targets in areas such as transit and delivery times, DIO, operation working capital in line with company targets
  • Manage & execute logistics globally and locally for all commodities inbound and outbound within the metrics of budget / schedule / costs / risks
  • Identify improvement opportunities and implement procedures that improve the business’ ability to meet changing market requirements.
  • Develops and optimize warehousing network and inventory management in alignment with commercial plans and strategies
  • Manages relationship and performance of 3PL and Distribution activities.
  • Build up good relationship with local customs and manage all the application of certifications as required by local government which is mandated to import and export business
  • Facilitate with local authority to carry out all inspection and audit process as per local regulatory requirement
  • Develop, train and coach department staff to achieve department and divisional objectives
  • Handle Ad hoc assignments


Competencies, experience and attitudes to do the job 岗位所需技能、经验及态度:

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics and Supply chain management or equivalent.
  • 8+ years from a similar position
  • Legal / customs / SCM / Int’l transportation

knowledge Skills:

  • 8+ years working experience in logistics management or equivalent (required)
  • Some experience of sales, marine industry (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and structured approach
  • Independent, self-motivated, desire to push continuous improvement

Management skills

  • Able to communicate with all levels, cross-cultural awareness
  • Ability to remain calm and maintain a stable performance under pressure
  • Fluent written and spoken English
