Job Description

Applied Materials EPG (Equipment Product Group) operations group is responsible for production of equipment and non system orders for 200mm Semi, legacy Semi metrology and inspection, solar inspection and Mask equipment globally in the AGS(Applied Global Services) product portfolio. EPG operations supports refurbishment, new systems, new product and upgrades for the ICAPS business unit focused on growth in the IOT, communications, automotive, power and sensor product markets. Our EPG team collaborates with customers globally including customers in Taiwan to meet critical equipment needs, solve manufacturing challenges, and make equipment more productive. The growth in ICAPS markets has led to great new opportunities in the 200mm product space and the opportunity for factory expansion in Taiwan to build and ship EPG products for our customers in Taiwan and globally.

Now we are looking for one Senior Import & Export Specialist to support Applied EPG manufacture in Tainan. This role will in charge of the compliance of EPG components import, FTZ commissioned processing and finished goods export, ensure timely application of required permissions or licenses, operational efficiency and smooth communication and relationship with the authorities.           

Job Mission

The job mission of Senior Import & Export Specialist is to execute the daily import/export & bonded operation and ensure customs and export control compliance in a manner that minimizes exposures and customs duties and reduce customs process time in the supply chain while complying with TW regulations.

Job Description

  • Handle the daily import/export customs and export control activities.

  • Handle daily FTZ bonded and commissioned processing operations.

  • Be responsible for customs and export control compliances in Taiwan for EPG.

  • Monitor the customs related service providers including customs brokers, warehouse operators and bonded customs system provider and ensure compliance with the license/regulation.

  • Work out and manage processes for FTZ bonded operations, commissioned processing, and bonded customs system improvements.

  • Manage complex EPG manufacturing requirement setup with customs compliance.

  • Good communication skill to well manage the relationship to the internal/external stakeholders

  • Follow and adhere to established business processes. Align operational process with Outsourced Logistics Operations providers and internal organizations. Identify opportunities for process improvements which result in increased service level performance and/or minimize costs.

  • Support research and data requirements for internal/external audit requests.

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experiences in the International Trade & Customs domain.

  • Licensed with TW bonded operations (FTZ or Bonded Science Park factory) is preferred.

  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications.

  • Experience with SAP is preferred.

  • Experience with Tradvan Bonded system is preferred.

Travel:

  • Yes, 20% of the Time. Mostly between Tainan Science Park and KHH FTZ.
