Reporting to Managing Director China, the Purchaser collaborates closely with subsidiary departments such as R&D and Marketing and with the Group Purchasing Department at the Head Office.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In accordance with the subsidiary development strategy and the Group Purchasing Policy, the Purchasing Manager leads procurement activities (needs analysis, negotiation, contract deployment) of components and goods effectively in order to meet, quantity, quality standards at a competitive cost and lead time.

Purchasing /procurement

  • Define the appropriate purchasing strategy : needs definition, analysis of supplier market and recommendations
  • Lead sourcing and qualification of new components,OEM products / suppliers for the subsidiary and headquarters
  • Conduct negotiation
  • Establishing purchase agreements, partnership and progress with suppliers
  • Manages the portfolio of suppliers (quality control, costs, time)
  • Gather supplier market intelligence : competitive and technical intelligence
  • Establish, implement or update KPI
  • Performs supplier audits: evaluates supplier capabilities and processes and makes recommendations
  • Review and ensure the financial stability of suppliers
  • Lead a procurement Supervisor

Project

Liaise with Head Office/local team on new projects/products development (localization, sourcing) and provide expertise in offering solutions:

  • Define needs and specifications with local R&D and Marketing team and the Head Office
  • Make or buy analysis and manage the related action plan in regard to specified criteria

  • Logistic

Logistics Manager leads a logistic team and oversees the movement, distribution and storage of materials in an organization. control the flow of incoming materials to ensure receiving goods from suppliers/transportation on time and outgoing components & finished products to ensure Manufacturing Dept/ HQ / customers receive products on time. He oversees warehouse, inventory control, material handling, transportation and planning workers. He negotiates shipping and supplier costs, and work to improve the efficiency of the company’s supply chain by implementing methodology and tools. Ensure the lead time is respected.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and experience

  • Engineering degree ,
  • Master in Purchasing, International Management, Administration …would be an advantage
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar in an industrial Group at international level, purchasing of motors, plastic injection, metal sheet, components,..
  • Team management

Language

  • Native chinese speaker (mandarin)
  • is fluent in English, french would be an advantage.

Knowledge and skills

  • Manufacturing processes
  • Mechanical, electrical,… skills.
  • is able to demonstrate advanced Excel skills.

Abilities

  • strong negotiation skill
