About the Role:

The logistics specialist is responsible for logistics plan and process from its origin to the destination and to ensure efficient and smooth operation of the shipping process with regard to the objectives for On-time Delivery, Cost and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, prioritize and coordinate the corresponding division inbound /outbound shipment delivery to plant or customer timely and cost effectively with shipment visibility.
• Monitor shipping / receiving location public holiday, special events such as typhoons, strike, port congestion, etc. and prioritize shipment and communicate the inbound/outbound impact and plan to planner, Sales Operations and related parties.
• Response timely to internal and external customer request on shipment hold, change and reschedule
• Handle shipment delay, damage, claim and any other troubles-shooting issues during the inbound and outbound process
• Provide input on carrier performance, solve the carrier performance issue on daily basis, and address/ escalate performance issues;
• Provide forecast to carrier and follow the carrier Selection Guide Line to tender freight
• Analyze the actual freight spend per freight contract
• Conduct Route analysis, vessel schedule analysis and shipment consolidation to improve the transportation cost and transit time
• Submit monthly logistics report, agents' invoice verification & collection, shipment data analysis
• Initiate or participate in projects or tasks to solve problems/ support business development/ drive continuous improvement in process/ cost efficiency
  

• Bachelor degree, preferably in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management/ International Trade or its equivalent? Minimum 5 years working experience in inbound logistics / import, preferably with experience in foreign manufacturer
• Good understanding in international transportation and international trade, familiar with Incoterm, shipping mode, transportation service, and related customs trade compliance requirements
• Experienced in working with multiple functions across supply chain e.g. Planning, Warehouse, Customs Compliance, LSP etc.
• Quick learner, self-motivated, good team player
• Good problem solving skill and data analytical capability
• Very good English communication skills (both written and verbal)
