Eaton’s Arecibo PR is currently seeking for a Logistics Supervisor to join our team. Primary Function: This position is responsible for the material management by leading the Warehouse Operations and Material Handling, actively support physical inventory processes, and educating and training teams on inventory handling practices. Also, under the rules of safety and quality set out in the organization, generates maximum results and comply with Warehouse & Logistics standards, functions and responsibilities. Achieves the customer’s requirements complying with all the policies & procedures of Supply Chain, MESH, Quality and Finance by which the company is governed. Essential Functions: Materials Logistics Management Coordinates the Warehouse and Logistic activities to maximize resources utilization and achieve short and long term goals. Responsible of inventory control and accuracy of all shipping transactions for products and/or components shipped to end customers, consolidation centers or secondary processes suppliers. Responsible for the Materials Flow transactions and coordination within the plant. Supervise the performance and execution of the Lead Coordinators, SCM Coordinators, Material Handlers, Shipping and Receiving Clerks. Manages carriers and third party logistics providers with the responsibility of inbound & outbound logistics for raw material, components and finished goods. Develops procedures and policies ensuring most effective and efficient materials flow “in and out” of the plant. Ensures compliance to all Supply Chain, Finance, Quality & Safety policies and procedures. Identifies receiving, locating, dispatching and shipping opportunities for improvement and implement required processes enhancements. Conducts monthly meetings with employees to discuss employee performances, department projects, initiatives, employees concerns, among others topics of relevance. Co-champion (active lead role) in the coordination of Plant Physical Inventories. Supports the Inventory Analyst or the Lead Supply Chain Materials in the planning, coordination and execution of cycle count as per ERP and Finance policies together with the root cause investigation and corrective action. Provides appropriate direction and support to team members to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of inventory controls systems and procedures. Ensures proper record keeping of all warehouse and shipping transactions in compliance with the company / department record retention policies. Lead 5S events in all warehouse and shipping areas. Responsible for requesting and/or requiring Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) (safety gloves, safety goggles, protective gauze, etc.) to production line employees. Supervises and monitors hourly personnel ensuring absenteeism, conflict management, disciplinary actions, recognitions, and compliance with corporate and plant standards. Performs and report to HR changes and personnel moves such as department changes, shift changes, promotions, departures, etc. Conducts and manages embracing Eaton’s policies, philosophy, values and Code of Ethics. Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS): Attend and perform all EHS training assigned. Promote MESH processes and policies to all employees under his/her supervision. Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by all personnel under his/her supervision. Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities: Material Handler - Receives and dispatches the different production lines requests of raw material and components. Lead and Warehouse Coordinator - Main liaison between production lines and warehouse material handlers. Ensure effective support to all production lines and internal customers Shipping & Receiving Clerks – Responsible for the inbound and outbound of materials. Show the total number of employees that you supervise (directly or indirectly). 45 - 50 #LI-AR7 Qualifications Specialized Knowledge: Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar careers. Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisor role in SCM environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish). PC proficient knowledge, Microsoft Office, AS400, Window Ability to work under pressure and prioritize.
