Job Description
Eaton’s Power Systems division is currently seeking a Logistics and Customs Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro facility. The Logistics and Customs Analyst is responsible for drive the carrier's and customs broker expense through logistics corporate tools Trans International, CASS and classify the expense in SAP, reconcile the duties and taxes paid by the centralized bank account shared with two other sites, and execute compliance activities for our OEA, CTPA and Hazardous Materials Permit (Gun Powder) granted by SEDENA and give support to import/export roles. Some activities related with the position will be: Register and classify the logistics expenses in SAP and in alignment with Trans International / CASS. Grant the freight payment to the carriers and customs brokers timely fashion with all the stakeholders involved (Local Management, GFSS/Finance, Logistics Corporate/Trans International-CASS. Reconcile Tax and Duties paid by import/export operations with two other sites that shares the bank account and legal entity. Coordinate and Execute the activities related with the gun powder importation permit with SEDENA and attend the authority inspections to the site. Reconcile freight expenses scheduled for payment by carriers and customs brokers in order to build the financial accrual related with the freight expenses not issued for payment. Consistently strive to innovate & streamline OEA and CTPAT procedures by collaborating with fellow employees & outside departments in order to grant the certifications compliance, including the induction training for new hirings. Support internal & external customs audits, i.e. SAT, CBP, Peer Reviews, Trade compliance firms, Quality Systems, etc. Support to import/export activities in alignment with trade compliance regulations: AF, IN, A1, RT, V1, V5, BO and trade compliance programs IMMEX, CIVA, PROSEC Provide reporting (departmental, financial, etc.) & data analysis on an ad-hoc level Troubleshoot data issues (Freight Expenses, Gun powder inventory, Tax/Duties payment) and work with fellow employees and departments to derive and build customized reports or dashboards. Support to finance team to get VAT refunds done #LI-MM3 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Customs and Logistics related 3- 5 years’ experience in Logistics, Import, Export and Trade Compliance Experience on Mexican Trade compliance regulations, international Trade Preferred Qualifications: Experience CTPAT, OEA, VAT certifications, IMMEX PROSEC programs, Technical skills and knowledges of Mexican Customs Law, Rulings of Mexican Trade Compliance, International Trade, Urgency sense and international logistics knowledge We make what matters work.
