Qingdao Chaoyin School is currently recruiting for the following positions:Primary Year Program (PYP) Teachers and Middle Year Program (MYP) Teachers

Job Description:
With our new international school opening up soon, we are currently looking for experienced PYP/MYP teachers for various subjects. Roles and responsibilities of the PYP/MYP teachers include the following:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons according to the IB curriculum
- Ensure course material and syllabus are up to date
- Monitor, assess, and recording students’ learning progress
- Communicate with parents and ensure they are aware of their child’s progress
- Supervise classroom activities
- Participate in parent meetings, department meeting, professional development activities

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education degree
- IB teaching certificate or past IB teaching experiences
- Dedicated educator, loves children and willing to learn more about Chinese culture
- Willing and able to design and teach English course content for children ranging from 6 to 16 years old
- Be able to design course material and plan course content independently and collaboratively (with teacher program coordinators)
- Able to adhere to the schools professional regulations
- Is able to develop/teach lessons and units of course content for PYP or MYP courses
- Able to design instruction that incorporates both Canadian and Chinese curriculum
- Able to incorporate lessons/activities focused on developing students’ social and emotional capacities
- Be able to evaluate students against learning standards
- Incorporates active and creative teaching/learning in their classroom (applicants with a background in music, printing or dancing skills is an asset)
- TESOL certification is an asset
