Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, Commercial, you are expected to adopt a hands-on approach and support the growth of the airline through managing aircraft fleet plans, schedules, route network and close liaison with government agencies to secure the necessary resources for the efficient operation of the airline.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full range of activities for development of the route network of the airline, as directed.
  • Assist in the development of corporate development plans
  • Coordinate and formulate fleet plans of the airline
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders for creating a scheduling plan that optimises operational efficiency and profitability
  • Look after schedule filing and application for the related slots with the authorities
  • Maintain close liaison with government agencies with a view to securing the necessary route rights for the formulation of schedule plans
  • Monitor and review the performance of the route network, identifying variances or emergence of trends that require management attention

Requirements

  • Holder of a bachelor’s degree or above
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in airline planning and government affairs, at least 5 of which in a senior managerial capacity
  • Experience with, and proven commercial knowledge of, the markets in Mainland China and Asia Pacific a must
  • Well versed with fundamental airline economic models and analysis
  • Good command of both oral and written English, proficiency in both Cantonese and Putonghua a significant advantage
  • A team player, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leadership ability, with business acumen and result driven
  • Independent, self–motivated and able to work under pressure
