Personnel Management
Lead, motivate and develop allocated employees by target agreements and performance evaluations on the basis of the mission statement. Ensure target-oriented internal communication and task related qualification. Provide for employee and task related qualification regarding the requirements of ICS. Ensure the achievement of agreed targets.
Internal Control System
Overall responsibility in enusring ICS (internal control systems) are implemented and monitored for the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA and Canada ICS processes.This includes responsibility for compliance with regards to processes, products and external reports.
Responsible for the preparation of financial statements, MIF reporting and any local financial reporting requirements (eg. statements for Daimler Trust, financial statements and regulatory filings for the Insurance Co., stand alone financial statements for the State regulators).
US responsibility for the execution and financial reporting aspects of the Asset Backed Securities program. Includes the preparation of all financial information required by
the investment bank partner. Responsible for the accounting and financial reporting aspects, and all communication with KPMG in their role of specific services provider (specific procedures engagement around specific transactions), auditor and Grant Thornton issuer of a Regulation AB report on the overall ABS platform.
Participate on Steering Committees and Project Teams for projects that have accounting and financial reporting implications. Examples of projects include the accounting for sale and financing of electric vehicles, credit and residual loss mitigation and the Nexus project (replacement of contract management system) and the implementation of IBIS (Internet Based Buy Back Information System).
Participate in DFS Accounting Projects, like Fast Close, IFRS 9 and exposure draft on leasing.
Responsible for the "Debt/ABS" accounting of MBFS USA & Canada. Responsible for the accounting of Daimler Capital Services and for the accounting of Intrepid Insurance company. Support Capital Services requirements (special projects).
