Micron’s Taiwan sites include sales and technical support in Taipei along with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities in Taichung and Taoyuan that together comprise the company’s DRAM Center of Perfection. The Center’s goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective technology transfer and manufacturing ramp by combining front- and back-end manufacturing, product engineering and technology development roles.

As an Backend Operations Excellence Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you are Lean practitioner. You need to equip with deep knowledge on Lean Manufacturing or Lean 6Sigma. You will deliver competitive & quality results by collaborate with site cross functional team, and seeds Lean Culture across Micron Backend Manufacturing. You and your team will be responsible for guiding site team by driving continuously improvement project on Cycle Time, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), UPH, SMED (Quick Changeover) & Labor Productivity to backend networks. This will be achieved by developing structural and effective Value Stream Mapping program, Gemba, engaging teams on Lean activities & Kaizen Events with top management empowerment. However, all projects/activities performed by you/and your team must be measurable and have a metric for success.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Ensure the operational excellence approach takes place throughout the entire network by ensuring that Lean 6Sigma standards are respected
• Collaboration with Site Cross Functional Team & ensure the calibration of the site according to best practices
• Propose approaches (tools, methods, training etc.) to allow an increase in maturity on Lean Culture across backend network
• Provide site-site gaps analysis on OEE & UPH performance, MMR & Changeover duration/frequency.
• Provide BE network to BIC benchmarking analysis on identify & drive breakthrough activities
• Provide estimated gain assessment & prioritize high value tasks within team strategically
• Provide/conduct Lean Manufacturing training to teams
• Project program management to ensure that on-time-delivery in project deliverables
• Act as a facilitator across all backend site on Value Stream Mapping Workshop
• Guide/Lead Kaizen Event & Continuous Improvement Projects on OEE, UPH, SMED, Labor Productivity.
• Carry out industrial diagnostics allowing the site projects to be identified

Education Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industry Engineering, or equivalent experience in Engineering
• Lean 6Sigma Green Belt Certified

Desired

• Master’s Degree in Industry Engineering
• Lean 6Sigma Black Belt/ Master Black Belt Certified
