Your opportunity
As a market leader in commercial vehicles within Japan MFTBC has a large retail & service network all across Japan. MFTBC aims to bring its facilities (building & equipment) up to industry leading standards to deliver the best aftersales service & experience to our customers. We are therefore in need of experienced, passionate people to maintain this extensive network. Initially the focus will be on overall building maintenance planning, with a focus shifting towards areas such as environmental and sustainability topics.

The ideal candidate will have relevant Japanese Architectural qualifications ( 一級建築士又は一級施工管理技士) and experience enabling them to work in topics ranging from planning refurbishment works and yearly maintenance construction schedules, establishing nationwide standards and handling real-estate related topics. You will be working within a team of facility management experts with members from all over the world. The primary language you will use will be Japanese however; our we are is ready to support any applicants with an active interest in using / improving their English.
Summary:
Roles and Tasks
Main Responsibility: Leading building maintenance planning topics for MFTBC’s Japan Retail Network
- Establishing standards / specifications for building related topics (maintenance & repair)
- Establishing yearly works plans based on priority / risk (incl. cost & timing)- Items to include; topics such as buildings, asphalt, reinforcement, drainage, equipment etc.

- Planning minor refurbishment works and running RFQs & manage the delivery of contractors
- Providing direction to other departments such as Real-Estate for building legislation topics
- Incorporate legal requirements for planning environmental topics like wastewater treatment
Bring in ideas for further incorporation of sustainability topics in yearly works planning
