BMW Group has invested more than £450 million in the plant since 2001 to integrate the production and increase production capacity up to 240,000 units per year over the medium term.

As a major international employer, with a proud investment in our people, we are seeking an Undergraduate student to undertake a role within our Powertrain and driving Dynamics Validation and Analysis department. The successful candidate will support the department in its Integration and Validation activities related to MINI Powertrain and Chassis, covering Petrol & Diesel Engines, Manual & Automatic Transmissions, Drive trains, Engine & Transmission Control Modules. Steering, suspension, brakes, wheels,tyres, geometry and Systems. The successful candidate will also take on other personal project responsibilities.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide support to the Analysis Engineers and Workshop Technician. Investigation of failed vehicles to component or process level.
  • Prepatation of vehicles for validation and assessment.
  • Support in development and roll out of FAF (Vehicle evaluation) process.
  • Project support (Roll out of Ocean tool to department)
  • Monthly team board updating. Problem resolution documentation meeting scheduling, agenda setting and minute taking.

 

  • Studying towards Engineering related degree, targeting an achievement of 2:2 or higher.
  • Have good IT and communication skills.
  • Have a valid UK driving licence.
  • A good team player.
  • Highly self motivated.
  • German Language would be advantageous, but not essential.
