Parts Quality Placement

The Parts Quality department is responsible for-

  • The Quality of Supplied Parts and Quality Management Processes in the Launch phases at Plant Oxford.
  • The availability of parts in the defined capacity and quality to ensure car production as scheduled to ensure the completion of all Prototype T-car builds
  • Timely communication between the UK and headquarters and acts as the contact partner for M to the relevant process partners within the Plant and UK Supplier Network.
  • Steering of the worldwide QMT network to ensure all QMT Industrialisation Processes are completed on time to ensure that Oxford Projects can be launched through QMT Project KPIs.
  • Identification of HK potential, OEE improvement and investment avoidance in the region in alignment with the agreed targets towards the relevant purchasing departments and the central value stream / tool management function (MZ- 4)

 

What will you be doing?

  • Tracking of build Parts Quality related issues with prototype vehicles and reporting of topics in associated meetings.
  • Tracking of Quality issues within the prototype stores through inspection activities.
  • Managing departmental quality KPIs, including liaison with process partners to deliver accurate results.
  • Lead problem resolution (PQM/8d) activities with key suppliers and QMTs from throughout the network, including unassisted visits to UK supplier locations.
  • Assist supplier analysis activities onsite at BMW.
  • Undertaking a Bachelor’s Engineering degree and is progressing towards a minimum 2:1 pass or completed a Bachelors Engineering Degree and is intending to start a Master’s Degree upon completion of their internship.
