Physical Logistics
The Physical Logistics team are responsible for all product movement and storage processes on site In-Bound and Out-Bound Including none series parts. Working with our Logistics Service Partners, We ensure stock is transported safely and stored in the provided locations before being supplied onwards in FIFO (First-In-First-Out) basis. The team use a number of IT systems to control parts in and through the business which provides transparency on each movement, condition and location. It’s the teams’ responsibility to manage the service providers and make sure they follow the correct processes and look for improvement opportunities
What will you be doing?
- Gain in-depth understanding of logistics in an automotive environment.
- Supplier communication & develop negotiation skills.
- Develop & improve internal processes.
- Monitor and report internal KPI’s.
- Budget Control.
- Studying towards a relevant Business or Logistics degree aiming towards a 2:1
- A sound knowledge of Business management, backed up with logistics background.
- Have an understanding of health & safety in the work place with some employment law knowledge
- Be confident to present at a management level, be self-motivated and flexible in the work place
- Will rise to a challenge and deliver on time
