We are looking for a highly motivated ML Research Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. Being a part of the Agile scrum team that works on advanced AI systems solutions as part of the technology and innovation group within Siemens’ Factory automation group. The candidate will also work on creating AI workflows to realize industrial use-cases and investigate new and emerging AI technologies in all ML development lifecycle (data ingest/streaming, data pre-processing, data labeling, model generation, model optimization, model serving) that optimize AI frameworks and AI workflows for our customers. In this role you will closely work with other software engineers in your Agile scrum team to design and implement new functionalities, use and expand your ML development skills, have a keen eye for high-quality software development techniques, and work with state-of-the-art tools to increase productivity and quality of our software. Required skills, knowledge and experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role. Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture. Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms. Ability to write robust code in Python, Java and R. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn). knowledge of container technologies such as docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes would be a plus! Knowledge of AWS / Google ML or Azure ML is a plus! Strong communication skills with a quantitative analysis oriented mindset. We’re Siemens.
