Manufacturing Product Engineering (MPE) team sits at the cross-section of manufacturing, design, and quality at Intel. Our function is to trail-blaze our new product's designs and make sure all of our products meets Intel's outgoing quality goals to our customers.
The Costa Rica Validation Lab Engineering (CRVLE) is a group within MPE that enables laboratory capacity for several engineering groups in Costa Rica, optimizing Intel CR productivity by leveraging collocation and working as One Intel.

As a Planning Engineer, the person will be responsible for:
- Drive Capacity analysis for tactical objectives (weekly execution plan) and strategic initiatives in terms of equipment capacity, space and supply chain to enable Lab's efficiency at optimized cost.
- Execute at both tactical and strategic level in support of organizational objectives, in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
- Partners with Product Readiness process to ensure on time and effective Power On's, as well as inventory and product roadmap strategies in alignment with Product Teams and Business Units.
- Provides support and leadership on continuous improvement enabling; maintaining labor efficiency and tool utilization.
- Establish systems to operate with the best control and cost efficiently.
- Apply LEAN methodology and cultural attributes to eliminate waste from systems, providing solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- The candidate must have a Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Semiconductor field.
- 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain, especially in manufacturing and planning operations.
- Candidate must be willing to work on a shift from Monday to Friday 1 pm to 10 pm.
- Advanced English level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Macros, algorithms and/or mathematical functions; Pivot and Dynamic tables programing and Power BI).
- Thorough Statistical and Metric Model knowledge (managing statistical application such repeatability, reproducibility and matching, Gage RnR and capability to perform statistical applications for validation and leverage; JMP expertise as a plus).
- Simulate capacity and requirements based on metric and capacity models.
Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) is responsible for test development across product segments, supporting 95% of Intel's revenue. We deliver comprehensive pre-production test suites and component/physical debug capabilities to enable high quality, high volume manufacturing.
Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
