Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons in History and Geography for junior high school students.
Develop students' skills in critical analysis, research, source evaluation, and structured argumentation in both written and oral forms.
Create a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, respect for diverse perspectives, and global citizenship.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to cater to different learning styles.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the Humanities department and across the school on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development.
Participate actively in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, Social Studies, Education, or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred).
A valid teaching credential/certification.
Minimum of 3 years of full-time classroom teaching experience in History, Geography, or a related social studies discipline at the middle school level.
Strong knowledge of world history and physical/human geography curricula.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to thrive in a multicultural, international setting.
