Job Description
- Investigate & suggest a pipeline of Materials related technologies to be implemented in our manufacturing plants to dramatically improve product manufacturing in the areas of Quality, Service, Growth & Cost for new and existing products.
- Work with all value streams and plants in the region to analyse investment requirements, development timing, market potential, and return on investment for all Materials related projects.
- Develop WW Standards for key materials manufacturing technologies.
- Manage operations activities for the deployment of front end new Materials related processes and innovative technologies from R&D.
- Partner with cleaning and surface technology VTs to align Suzhou manufacturing with the global strategies in these focus areas.
- Partner with operations R&D to develop a research platform that will enable transformational changes in process capability for a defined VT.
- Champion the development and deployment of the Ci2 innovative process for a defined platform WW.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio and project management system for the Materials pipeline for the region.
- Develop and lead strategic collaborations across functions, business units and geographic boundaries to achieve effective outcomes over the long-term.
- Ensure all activities comply with GMP, ISO and QSR requirements.
- Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled.
- All employees are responsible for minimizing both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform.
- Development of Capital Business Cases for Materials related Projects.
- Manage metal lab operation, and capability development.

- 和价值链相关环节部门及区域工厂紧密合作，分析原材料相关项目的投资需求，研发周期，市场潜力和投资回报。
- 开发关键材料制造技术的WW标准。
- 介入前端研发流程，管理新材料相关流程和创新技术的运作。
- 与清洁及表面技术VT团队合作，确保苏州制造与全球战略一致。
- 与运营和研发部门合作，开发研发平台确保VT团队提出的工艺能力的转变实施的可能性。
- 领导Ci2创新流程的开发和部署。
- 为本区域业务所需材料项目集开发一个管理系统并进行有效维护和管理。
- 建立并带领跨职能、跨业务单位和区域之间的战略合作，已达到长期有效的合作成果。
- 保证所有活动遵从GMP，ISO和QSR要求。
- 确保所有健康、安全和环境的要求得到满足。
- 确保所从事的工作对环境，健康和安全的影响达到最小化。
- 开发材料相关的资本化项目案例。
- 管理金属实验室运作，并开发实验室实验能力
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Science or a related Discipline is required. Master / Ph.D. In Engineering, Science or a related discipline desirable.
- Previous project management & people management expertise (8-10 years).
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of Product Lifecycle Strategies in a regulated environment.
- Track record in Business Development in a Technical environment.
- Have held Senior Technical / Management Role in Med device or High Tech Industry.
- Previous R&D management experience in the medical device sector is desirable.
- Strong influencing and communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills on maintaining project progress and on design issues.
- Decision making capability on technical and management issues.
- Extensive Problem solving Expertise (Six Sigma BB or SE certified).
- Product and Process Validation experience.
- High level understanding of Metals Materials manufacturing processes (Foundry / Forging/ Bar-stock).
- Knowledge and experience with multiple types of materials (e.g. metals, alloys, polymers, ceramics, composites, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Experience with risk management processes (i.e. DFMEA & PFMEA).
- Surface Science Characterization Expertise desirable (XRD, SEM, EDX, FTIR, NMR).

- 广泛的解决问题的专业能力 ( Six Sigma BB or SE certified)。
- 产品和工艺验证的经验。
- 对金属材料制造工艺（铸造/锻造/棒材）有较高程度的了解。
- 有多种材料知识和相关经验（如金属，合金，聚合物，陶瓷，复合材料等）者优先考虑。
- 有风险管理的相关经验（即DFMEA和PFMEA）。
- 表面科学专业知识（XRD，SEM，EDX，FTIR，NMR）优先考虑。
