Job Description
As a PCS Engineer in Micron, you will be responsible for innovating and building effective processes/systems control for MTB site. You are required to align with Micron Network to align the focus on improving top product quality issues for our site via SPC/FDC. You will also be responsible for the in-line process controls and incoming quality control via SPC/FDC.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Drive utilization of process control tools and methods throughout BE Mfg, to support efficient and effective manufacturing operations.
Schedule and lead meetings with engineering groups to provide a better understanding of process control values
Research / Benchmark process control methodologies
Document / Share process control improvements
Assist in critical variable definitions and necessary monitoring
Understand current complexity of systems in use at Micron
Understand deficiencies / benefits of current Micron systems
Facilitate area level projects to promote and improve benefits of process control solutions
Provide coordination between cross functional groups for the implementation and improvement of process control systems.
Meet with tool and process owners to understand requirements for pilot line, development, and process integration
Document customer needs and deliver to Automation and IS teams
Identify gaps between requirements and deliverables
Follow up with groups to ensure deliverables meet the needs
Manage / Support projects related to process control systems
Assist in testing of software releases
Identify issues and perform testing on solutions dependent to SPC/FDC System.
Deployment and ongoing maintenance of FDC strategies (data collection, UVA collections, limits, OCAPS, etc.) for optimum manufacturing efficiency and yields, also in an effort to minimize risks of excursion, and product.
Implement standards and business processes for FDC Control Systems for backend semiconductor manufacturing.
As required, develop and deliver training and training materials on control systems and related topics to support a trained and effective workforce.
Work with Central Team to develop training material
Delivery of training / classes
Work with local process engineering and Central Team to provide direction/assistance with process control systems
Review and monitoring of current process control methods
Suggest changes to process control methodologies based on data analysis
Provide feedback to Micron groups
Requirements gathering for Software enhancements and documentation
Standardize process control methods and procedures across backend manufacturing to enable WW alignment
Drive definition of Micron standard naming conventions
Develop and employ business processes and procedures to maintain global alignment
Assist in development of standardized process control methods
Education
- Degree in any Engineering or Statistic.
- Knowledge in SPACE SPC, FDC and R2R will be an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present to both small and large group.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strong and open relationships with peer and other functional managers.
- Have good communication skills in English verbally and in writing.
- Good leadership and teamwork skills to communicate and educate WW team members.
- Good organizational skills, critical in coordinating resources and actions.
- Strong project management skills.
- Data extraction, analysis and reporting skills a plus.
- Display good time management and judgment skills.
- Performance must currently be meeting expectation.
- Experience in developing and management of FDC and/or R2R control solutions in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experience with R, JMP, and/or other statistical software including scripting capability for automating analyses
- Basic concept on performing program skill with C#, SQL or any equivalent language is minimum requirement.
