Job Description
As a Product Quality Assurance Engineer in Micron, you will be responsible for innovating and building effective processes/systems that the Back End Network can utilize to align the focus on improving top product quality issues for our site. You will also be responsible for the in-line process controls, outgoing product quality, Customer returns management as well as handling Back End deviation management activities for the site.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Supervise QA operations with a team of quality control Inspectors to meet the output targets of that area with maximum efficiency and acceptable quality
Manage QA operations equipment, people and other resources to ensure sufficient capacity to meet the output targets
Work with module planning and QA operations group to address output and quality issues
Handle QA training and development programs for the quality control; inspectors
Work with Assembly/Test/Module Engineering/Manufacturing teams to drive product quality improvement and deviation reduction to meet customers’ quality requirement
Manage quality deviated product and drive for continuous improvement
Handle closure of corrective/preventive actions for customer issues
Perform Data Mining to identify quality improvement opportunities and lead quality improvement projects
Support site focus on improving performance variation that impact product quality
Support Product/Process Qualification
Work with Global Quality, Product Engineering and Central Teams to understand key customer quality issues and drive these issues to resolution within the site
Develop strong relationships with Corporate QRA, Product Engineering and Central Teams to improve business process performance
Education
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Engineering - Chemical
- Engineering - Electrical/Electronics
- Engineering - Mechanical
Experience:
Desired- Experience in similar discipline will be an added advantage
Additional Information:
Knowledge or Certification in auditing, FMEA, or systems such as GES, GCP, etc.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
- Able to work with little or no direct supervision
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present to both small and large group.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strong and open relationships with peer and other functional managers.
- Have good communication skills in English verbally and in writing.
- Good leadership and teamwork skills to communicate and educate WW team members.
- Good interpersonal skills, critical in coordinating resources and actions.
- Strong project management skills.
- Data extraction, analysis and reporting skills a plus.
- Display good time management and judgment skills.
- Performance must currently be meeting expectation.
