We are currently inviting applications from experienced Music teachers who will work in close cooperation with the Director of Music (English International Stream – Secondary Department). Experience of teaching to I/GCSE and/or IB Diploma level would be an advantage. As well as being an excellent classrooom practictioner, the successful candidate will also be responsible for contributing to co-curricular musical ensembles supporting the rich musical life of the school. Proficient keyboard skills are essential.

The position is initially envisaged as a temporary part-time role for six months, with the possibility of extending to a permanent role from August 2021onwards.

What is required and what we’re looking for

• Teacher qualification
• 3 years, or more, teaching experience preferred
• Excellent English speaker with sound written and oral communication skills (native speaker level)
• Culturally sensitive, tolerant and patient
• Positive work ethic
• Positive, proactive and independent work ethic
• Experience of, or knowledge of, the IB Diploma Programme
• A subsidiary subject (in addition to Music) may be advantageous.
