RESPONSIBILITIES

- Delivering lessons that foster knowledge and generate enthusiasm for Individuals & Societies course curriculum
- Teaching various MYP I&S subjects, including: history, government, economics, civics, politics, sociology, geography and sociology
- Aligning classroom learning and teaching to international baccalaureate MYP approaches
- Supervise Extended Essay Students for the IB Diploma and/or Community Service projects for DP and MYP students
- Utilizing curriculum that includes lectures, reading assignments, and group discussions
- Initiating, facilitating, and moderating classroom discussions
- Investing in students’ well-being, health, and safety, physically, socially, and emotionally
- Evaluating and grading student classwork, assignments, and papers
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours

SALARY

- 23,000 - 27,000 Chinese Yuan per month (i.e., $40,000 - $47,000 per year)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of full-time teaching experience
- Teachers over 60 are not eligible due to China's work visa policies.
- Ability to speak Chinese is NOT required.
