The primary responsibility of hired instructors is to teach English for a special class in MCCBS junior high school, 7 to 9 grades. Students in this class are of good academic standing and interested in pursuing international high school and/or study abroad in the future. The curriculum is based on British Edexcel English program, which includes: pre-IGCSE English, English Learning Central Match, and Interactive Sciences K-9. An instructor is expected to give 12 to 18 contact hours per week plus pre- and post-lecture efforts. Depending on availability, more classes for more compensation could be arranged in the other segments, e.g. high school, of MCCBS. Native English speakers with Bachelor’s degree or above of any field and three-year teaching and/or relevant professional experience are encouraged to apply. For the position of teaching English based on mathematics and science, certain background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education is desirable, though not necessary. Qualified candidates must have good communication skill and passion for teaching.

Compensation:

Monthly Salary: 6,000-12,000 RMB for the stated program, 12-18 lecture hours per week. More compensation is possible by engaging more teaching for other units within MCCBS.

Lodging: A fully-furnished, private housing or apartment on or off MCCBS campus will be provided free of charge.

Benefits: Standard medical insurance, support in gaining working visa in China, and travel allowance of 6,000 RMB per year will be provided.
