Employed as an Assistant to Asset Management Manager – Asset Management, with the job title of Construction Project Coordinator

DEPARTMENT:
REPORTS TO: Director overseeing Taipa construction projects

DESCRIPTION OF JOB
Assist Director to liaise with the Project Manager and the Contractor’s Site Supervisor for assigned construction projects, and assist with site supervision, including selection of materials, overseeing the material quality, workmanship, organisation, scheduling, and implementation of the quality control process on site.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist Director to liaise with contractors and suppliers regarding timely compilation and submission of documentation for construction-related applications for government approval, review and approval of architectural, engineering and design plans, selection of materials, preservation of heritage features and compliance with regulatory and other restrictions;
• Monitor all site activities to ensure smooth and efficient operation of all construction activities of the assigned projects;
• Work with Project Manager to coordinate the site works with all government departments, contractors, architects, engineers and consultants;
• Assist Director to monitor and assess the performance of contractors and suppliers in all matters, including site progress, safety, materials, quality and workmanship of the projects;
• Advise Director on performance of all site staff, equipment and services, whether contracted or employed by the Company;
• Assist Project Manager to implement site organisation to achieve time and cost targets of the assigned projects;

• Report to Director about any non-conforming works on site, prepare reports and ensure adequate rectification;
• Follow up on behalf of Director on any complaints;
• Any other assignments and duties as requested from time to time as required to satisfy the project requirements.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Engineering degree
• Construction and development project experience
• Good Command in Cantonese and English language
• Overseas study or work experience preferred
