Eaton’s Hydraulic Sector is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Machine Operator to join our team. This position is based at our Van Wert, Ohio location. 

Position Overview:
This position safely and efficiently perform manual labor during the production process of Eaton products. Operate and troubleshoot two production machines, setting up and running two machines, retrieving own material and doing your own material transactions. Perform minor repairs as necessary. Actively support and strive to meet the strategic goals set by the facility and Eaton Corporation. Robotic machines. SMT Robotic Benders and Auto Crimpers. Complex troubleshooting is a daily expectation of this position.

In this function you will:

• Must be able to learn, apply, and retain new techniques, concepts and procedures required for continuously improving products, processes, services, deliveries and overall quality. 
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, control plans, routers, job instructions and measurement tools. Must be able to make decisions regarding what part to run based on the min/max levels of inventory.
• Must be able to troubleshoot around the cameras and machines finding its home position. Must have expanded visual inspection abilities and know the escalation process when employee needs help on a part or machine.
• Maintain flexibility to be able to move from work area to work area in order to meet the delivery expectations of the customers and the productivity goals for the plant. Able to work efficiently to establish standards without constant supervision.
• Promotes cooperation and "team oriented" work environment at all times under the direction of the leadership.
• Creates/maintains a safe work environment and practices safety for themselves and others at all times.

Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Hydraulics Business to Danfoss A/S. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of Q1 in 2021 and this position is expected to remain with the Hydraulics Business and would transfer to Danfoss A/S. upon close. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Hydraulics Business when the transaction closes, Danfoss A/S will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:  

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Must have one year machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future  
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Van Wert, OH will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.  

Preferred Qualification:

• Minimum of two years experience operating SMT Robotic benders and auto crimpers. 

• Daily complex troubleshooting
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. cartons consistently
