Eaton’s Electrical Crouse-Hinds division is currently seeking a 2nd shift P&R Machine Operator to join our team. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility. Essential Functions: Operate various machinery including conventional machines, NC, CNC & automatic chucking machines, single spindle and multi-spindle drill presses and tapers, horizontal & vertical milling machines, and more. Position parts into chucks, fixtures or loading devices; move selection levers for prescribed speeds and feeds. Initiate machining cycle and remove machined parts. Operation sequence is prescribed. Make adjustments, change, and reset tooling to maintain specified dimensions. Load castings and bar stock to insure continuous operation of equipment. Work involves highly repetitive machine operations such as drilling, milling, tapping, reaming, boring, facing, threading, counterboring, etc. Refer to assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and machining blueprints to maintain tolerances. Detect and report faulty machine operations, defective material and unusual cases to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographic area (50 miles) of Syracuse, NY will be considered for this position.
