Summary:
Operates an encapsulating machine to produce products from pre-mixed ingredients, insuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in process measurements, and quality product

Specific Task and Responsibilities:

• Operates an encapsulating machine to produce products from pre-mixed ingredients, insuring proper temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in process measurements, and quality product.
• Reads job specifications from the Batch Production Record to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observes machine operation. Makes adjustments as needed. Takes samples of product and performs in process testing.
• Performs all checks as required and documents activities. Is responsible for maintaining all required documentation in accordance with the Work Instructions Patheon Softgels Inc.
• Assists Set-Up person to set up machine, empty basket and clean and prepare machine for changeover. Also assists with the actual changeover.
• Notifies Lead Operator when issues occur with equipment or product. Is responsible for correcting issues effecting product quality.
• Spreads product as required.
• Operates In-Line Printing equipment
• Manufacture of simple and complex products and simple hormone and potent products, manufacturing of newly introduced products, complex medicines containing DEA compounds, and both simple and complex potent and hormone compounds.
• Oversee training of Encapsulation Associates Level I and II
