JOB SUMMARY: Repairs 24 hour production equipment in a timely manner. Maintains and manages the plant’s compressed air, water and fire systems. Produces machine parts, tools and gauges to extremely close tolerances.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Performs assembly and bench jobs related to newly designed machines or equipment and overhauls of existing equipment.

• On assembly work, performs necessary work to apply improvements recommended such as bearings, blocks, supports and operating adjustments.

• Involved in the diagnosis and/or repair of complex machines and equipment. Makes own determinations of the nature of the repair and best method to expedite.

• Manufactures necessary parts that are available for replacement to maintain continuity of production.

• Maintains the ability to setup and/or operate milling machine, drill press, lathe and grinding equipment.

• Completes and maintains appropriate TPM / Maintenance Records / Documents.

• Maintains good housekeeping and 5S.

• Observes all safety rules and OSHA regulations and performs job in a safe manner.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP, WI, Forms, Flowcharts, etc.)

• Supports Corning Pharmaceutical Glass activities

• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required.

• Temperature Work environment range from 35 F to 115 F depending on seasons.

• Slippery Surface Work on surfaces that are slippery (glass on floor)
