Job Description

A Business Manager will assist the Sales and Marketing operation in improving profitability through ongoing analysis of processes and programs.

What will I be doing?

As Business Manager, you will assist the Sales and Marketing operation in improving profitability through ongoing analysis of processes and programs. The Business Manager will participate in budgeting, volume and expenses forecasting and ensuring corporate policy compliance. The Business Manager will also participate in compensation plan calculations and payroll, marketing agreements, financial analysis, accounting matters, protection of corporate assets and continuity of systems and procedures. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Insuring that the designated region's operations are operating within budgeted numbers
  • Maximize profitability by closely analyzing programs and provide accurate statistics to departmental managers
  • Report and analyze the performance of various operational, industry and local trends
  • Participate in forecasting for all of the designated region's operations and in the creation of all sales and marketing budgets
  • Insure that all policies and procedures are fully in effect
  • Report any deviations and discrepancies (Forecast, Actuals, Budgets, etc.)
  • Insure that all compensation plans are communicated to HR and Finance Departments
  • Assist in internal and government audits
  • Attend key financial meetings; coordinate monthly/quarterly financial reviews with management

  • Extremely proficient with Excel and Access database program
  • Minimum of one year's prior financial/cost analysis experience and an accounting background preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information management or business administration is strongly preferred
  • Positive attitude, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and must be able to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment
