JOB PURPOSE:

Perform basic repair on all facility equipment in a safe manner independently. This repair work requires broad mechanical skills, basic diagnostic capabilities, and an understanding of facility systems and construction techniques.

JOB DUTIES:

• Performs basic replacement of parts and assemblies without the guide of service engineer.
• Performs work from service manuals, maintenance manuals, and facility equipment schematics.
• Performs trouble shooting under the guide of supervisor and applying own experience and good judgment.
• Be able to operate all maintenance equipment and exercise all construction equipment safely for intended purpose.
• Communicates verbally in an effective manner with technical staff, other employees and vendors on facility equipment problems or suggested improvements.
• Use basic soldering and brazing skills as needed.
• Possess a basic understanding of facility systems and construction techniques.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

Must have 5 years experience at facility equipment repair or equivalent schooling. Should demonstrate good mechanical comprehension and strong communication skills with technical staff and fellow employees.
