Maintenance Engineer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned)
- Maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility.
- Performing a variety of maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry.
- Responding to guest calls and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conducting inspections to determine preventive maintenance needs and to diagnose maintenance issues.
- Responding to emergency situations including, but not limited to safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property. Assisting with the patrolling of the interior and perimeter of the hotel and preliminary investigations of incidents, as needed.
- Writing reports and documenting maintenance, safety or security needs.

Work Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- Six months or more related experience is required.
- Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical experience is required.
- Hotel maintenance experience is preferred.
ABILITIES
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
- Ability to recognize and act in emergency situations.
- Ability to perform job functions with limited supervision.
