Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Leader to join our First shift team. This position is based at our Santa Ana, CA facility. Pay: $32/hour Benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision) 401K (6% Total Match; 4% at 100% and 2% at 50%) Vacation (Two Weeks Starting Out) Position Overview: The Maintenance and Facilities Leader will be responsible for performing industrial manufacturing mechanical system work to include layout, relocation, installation, maintenance and repair of facilities, building mechanical systems, machinery and equipment. In this function you will: Assist Engineers, Project Managers, and other functions on future plant or department layout proposals/ Kaizens. Coordinate with Santa Ana’s building and grounds contractors as needed Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the development of prototype equipment, manufacturing process, structural maintenance and equipment relocation/installation through the use of LEAN concepts. This may include physically preparing the facility for these activities. Assist manufacturing operators, supervisors in troubleshooting manufacturing problems. Assist other personnel with troubleshooting functions to determine most efficient method for repair of production lines and equipment. Specify, design, quote, install, debug, and maintain equipment for use in manufacturing Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing or front-end procedures and processes through improved layout, material handling, or work processes and procedures. Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and will utilize MESH tools to drive improvements Ability to perform general maintenance (i.e electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc) Partner with HR and EHS to coordinate miscellaneous activities as needed Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years industrial/facilities maintenance experience Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: Certificate, associate’s degree, or undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in facilities maintenance, HVAC maintenance, industrial hygiene or related field 1-3 years’ experience in control systems, sensors, wireless connectivity 1-3 years’ experience operating a forklift or other powered industrial trucks Previous Experience in Lock Out, Tag Out Procedures Position Criteria: Ability to read and understand facility layouts and construction drawings and capable of interacting with outside contractors in the maintenance. Working knowledge of basic computer systems including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Must have excellent verbal and customer relationship skills Physical capability of walking up and down stairs and ladders, working on your feet for hours at a time, moving around equipment and buildings, and lifting up to 50lbs. Ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift. Knowledge and/or experience leading projects, conducting analysis for root cause identification, and understanding how to identify problems and reach resolutions is beneficial.
