Eaton’s Vehicle Division is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager, to join our team located in Kings Mountain, NC – and relocation services are provided! The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading a team of maintenance professionals to meet safety, quality and production goals of the facility. In this role, you will provide vision and leadership by planning and directing the efforts of the Maintenance team members to maintain site equipment, instrumentation, utilities, and facilities in compliance with good engineering practices. Essential Functions: Provide leadership and personal development guidance to the maintenance and technical teams. Ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant through strict adherence to safe work practices by all maintenance department personnel. Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff. Support production teams in process optimization, improvements in area of yields, capacity, defect reduction, and waste minimization. Develop and maintains Metrics/methods to track costs and processes to support business goals. Manage plant-wide maintenance maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness with available resources. Assist with Capital Improvement Process including Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Resource allocation, and Project execution. Research, implement, and monitor latest technologies related to asset maintenance and improvement. Develop and execute necessary processes needed to effectively preserve, track, and accurately assess fixed asset base. Develop and execute skills assessment and future competency development plan for based on current needs and future technology evolution. Facilitate continuous pursuit of maintenance excellence and develop team of maintenance professionals that perpetuate continuous improvement and thrive on problem resolution Help develop and maintain consistent, efficient, and functional work order, preventative maintenance, and downtime systems. Create and achieve data-based metrics for maintenance functions including costs and inventories Ensure and plan maintenance spend to finance plan and work with finance group closely on budgeting process. Lead major projects to deploy Industry 4.0 tools & technologies into manufacturing operations utilizing predictive maintenance devices. Coaches and develops training plans for all maintenance technicians. Plan and manage maintenance budget along with third party budgets. Provide input on quotations regarding machine reliability for Engineering. Use Oracle EAM and Maximo to develop metrics and align maintenance resources to improve machine uptime. Utilize and implement TPM approach to develop an equipment maintenance strategy to maximize operational efficiency of the equipment by reducing breakdowns, preventing small stops or slow running equipment and prevent defects. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred. Leadership skills -- prior experience as a supervisor, lead technician, and/or manager of people, especially in a maintenance organization, strongly preferred. Basic systems knowledge, including computer, quality, materials and manufacturing Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices Prior experience with CNC Machines, PLCs2 and robotics/cobots is helpful Oracle EAM / Maximo Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
