Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the property is maintained to the highest possible standards. You will be professional, enthusiastic and trustworthy. You have a ‘can do’ attitude as well as the initiative required to multi task in this busy environment.

Main Duties:

·        To carry out general maintenance and repair duties

·        Undertaking and managing preventative maintenance schedules

·        Health & safety compliance

·        Managing the maintenance of the physical plant, all electrical equipment, kitchen equipment, controls, fire safety systems and the interior and exterior of the hotel

·        To maintain all maintenance stocks on a regular basis, ordering appropriate stocks when necessary, using the correct ordering systems

·        To ensure all maintenance equipment is checked on a regular basis

·        To supervise outside contractors to ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory standard and place of work is returned to order

·        To establish safety issues that may arise in the absence of maintenance and be responsible for the full training of team members

·        To reactively alter procedures and fix any procedures as a result of any reported incidents in order to reduce risk and prevent this incident reoccurring

Ideal Candidate will have:

·        Minimum 2-3 years work history from a hotel environment

·        Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and be standards driven

·        A good knowledge of Health and Safety

·        Have great relationship building skills with the customers and the team

·        Flexibility in day to day job demands, remain focused when priorities and practices changes.
