So that our production continues to run smoothly, we are looking for a Maintenance Shift Manager for the BMW Plant Hams Hall.
What awaits you?
• As the Maintenance Shift Manager you will be responsible for overseeing, and managing, the daily needs of a maintenance shift – leading breakdown situations, maintaining volume output and supporting planned maintenance
• Being target focused and using your team management skills you will manage, motivate and develop the maintenance team to ensure that optimum performance, efficiency and effectiveness of the department are achieved
• Steering your team, you will develop, monitor and review team targets and progress so you can ensure that appropriate targets are set and achieved
• You will develop new strategies for the machining maintenance department with internal and external partners, ensuring all manufacturing requirements are met
• Utilising your budget management experience you will plan, monitor and control the efficient use of departmental budget and manpower resources so you can ensure budget requirements are met
• Qualified to NVQ Level 5 or equivalent (e.g Degree, Membership of Chartered Institution).
• Experience of working within a maintenance production environment (Mechanical and Electrical)
• Project and budget management experience
• Manufacturing process knowledge
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental issues relevant to production and maintenance
• Experience of new strategy planning and implementation for new projects
• Experience of team and individual development, management and leadership
