Siemens Logistics LLC is seeking experienced Welder in support of the team located at the San Diego Intercontinental Airport location for Maintenance Mechanic Level II – Welder opportunity. This position requires experience and knowledge in the responsibilities as outlined. Responsibilities: Performing welding, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of the Baggage Handling Systems and their associated components and providing accurate and timely written reports of safety, operational, and maintenance activities. Must have the ability to interpret data and suggest maintenance schedule/activity adjustments to the Manager. Update daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activity schedules. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: · Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position. · Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces and have the ability to climb staircases and ladders of varying sizes. · Must be able to carry personal tool bag weighing anywhere from 20-30 lbs. Required Skills / Education: · Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience · Education Required: HS Diploma or GED required Minimum of 5 years experience Must be able to obtain Government clearance to enter secure side of Airport. Ability to accomplish welding processes aboard in all environments. Must be able to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Must have own basic welder tool kit. Must be able to understand, read and interpret welding symbols based on the requirements Airport Ability to cross-craft between BHS/PBB operations and welding. Ability to interpret and understand drawings/blueprints. Good communication and good interpersonal skills. Must be able to work a variety of shifts (1st shift 6:00am to 2:30pm, 2nd shift 3:00 to 11:00). Must possess basic reading, writing and mathematical skills. Valid driver license with clean MVR highly desirable. · Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings per airport requirements. · Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
