Job Overview
Responsible for keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment. Diagnosis problems based on operator feedback and test results.
- Perform preventive maintenance utilizing checklists to visually inspect components, replace worn parts as needed and verify efficient operation of equipment.
- Utilize common power hand tools and machine shop equipment, along with precision measuring equipment, to analyze and repair damaged components
- Study blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals to insure correct installation and operation of equipment
- Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment as required
- Perform all duties to the prescribed standard.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
- An attached resume is required.
- Documentation substantiating +3 years of practical experience in Mechanical/machine repair preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and background in welding, electrical, and plumbing a plus.
- May have to work at elevated heights or enter permit-required confined spaces.
- Successful applicants will be required to take a skilled trade test prior to start of employment.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
- Must work successfully in a team environment.
