Maintenance Supervisor-Track Work Qualification • Engineering Degree/Diploma in Mechanical. Desired Skills/ Experience • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Track Maintenance Supervisor in a Railway Maintenance Organization, GCC experience is preferable. • Must have a valid Qatar driving license- Unimog operator and driver training is preferred. • Expertise in planning trackwork preventive maintenance activities. • Expertise in using the railroad vehicle e.g., Unimog and other equipment like MiniProf, Track Survey Trolley, Track Gauge measurement etc. • Excellent knowledge & exposure to maintenance activities on the open and embedded track. • Familiar with the relevant maintenance standards and industry practices for the track maintenance and capable of comprehend and derive the maintenance requirements from the O&M manuals and prepare the detailed work procedure and maintenance plans. • Have sound knowledge of general corrective maintenance of track works and can provide technical advice and supervise such corrective maintenance works. • Good knowledge and command on CORMAP. • Have sound knowledge of general corrective maintenance of track works and can provide technical advice and supervise such corrective maintenance works. • Must have good exposure in establishing safe working condition and implementing procedures. • Excellent Communication skills • Familiar with use of general office computer applications. Responsibilities • Responsibility for the technically correct condition and the timely availability of the track, which form part of the maintenance section. • Liaisons between the various maintenance and operation departments to manage scheduled maintenance tasks. • Co-ordination of the interfaces between the maintenance sections • Responsible for appropriate actions in the event of incidents within the maintenance section • Co-ordination of the interfaces between the maintenance sections. • Responsible for appropriate actions in the event of incidents within the maintenance section • Optimization of maintenance tasks as result of ongoing analysis • Checking of Inspection results and deciding on appropriate actions analyzing of the maintenance history for the related equipment and facilities • Responsible for the reporting system to ensure the availability of sufficient and suitable spares for his area of supervision • Responsible for the speedy availability of suitable manpower, adequate tools, material, and equipment in events of incidents. • Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the organization’s maintenance goals and monitoring compliance. • Coordinates with other maintenance staff / lots to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance. • Check that every single job is executed on time and without compromising on safety. • Keep an eye on materials and spare parts inventory. • Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment. • Check that the premises are safe and not in violation of any regulations.
