- Follow quality standards in accordance with company policy, cGMP and FDA requirements.
- Install and maintain utilities systems and components for electricity, e.g. power distribution, instrumentation and control, electrical machinery, codes and standards.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance practices and record all data on appropriate logging medium.
- Observe mechanical equipment in operation and follow good troubleshooting practices to locate causes of trouble. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjust functional parts of equipment and control instrumentation. Install or replace worn or faulty components for equipment performance restoration or improvement. Test equipment performance and record all data on appropriate logging medium.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of utilities systems and equipment components for electrical power distribution, instrumentation and controls, electrical machinery, responsible for knowledge of codes and standards.
- Document daily readings, equipment repairs, and parts used. Report problems on work order forms.
- Perform daily responsibilities with urgency and a high level of accountability.
- Demonstrate creativity and diligence in meeting daily and long-term projects and performance objectives.
- Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
- Assist in training new mechanics.
- May perform other reasonable, related business duties.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent minimally required.
- Trades certificates/diplomas or degrees preferred but experience can be substitute in lieu of the certificates/degrees
Experience
- 1-4 years of related maintenance experience and/or training in the following trades: plumbing, electrical, machine shop, or electronics/controls.
- Allen Bradley PLC experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

- Ability to read and interpret a variety documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Ability to use hand and machine shop tools. Ability to train others by technical means and by example.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
