Job Title: Managed Service Manager and SND Manager

Reports To: Sr. Enterprise Service Manager

Group/Division: China Service

Career Band: Ⅶ

Location: Shanghai

No. of Direct Reports: 10 (a team of total 40 persons currently)

Position Summary:

This position is focused primarily on handling aspects of VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), customer Laboratory on-site operation support Business in China Mainland core offerings such as: Consulting Services, Supply Chain Management Services, Scientific Supporting Services, etc. This position also will focus on the Enterprise service business supplier sourcing, management and build the strategy to support Enterprise service business continuous growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Response for new Managed Service business and equipment management solution/proposal, implementation and deliver to customers, monitor overall customer objectives and performance metrics.
  • Build up the SOW, SOP, Working Instruction, KPI Metrics/SLA, etc. and get aligned with customers.
  • Overall manage the customer service level and performance of improvement including the service of supply chain support, laboratory service and Assets Management (PM, repair, calibration and qualification) Via. PPI/Lean/Kaizen tools
  • Laboratory EHS management to make sure all of the process and working environment following EHS rules and government compliance.
  • Review the service level with customers in regular (Monthly/Quarterly) to ensure each customer site achieve the performance target and corrective/prevent action maybe required if missed
  • Build the global connection for the Best Practice into China and global account management/ project implement support.
  • Develop the overall supplier strategy to support Enterprise Service business including 3PL, OEM (Original Equipment Manufactory), ISO (Independent Service Organization).
  • Manage the supplier performance to drive the continuous cost saving and excellent performance indicators as partner relationship.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of similar experience is required like Project Manager/Laboratory Operation Manager/Facility Manager/Service manager/Supply Chain manager for R&D centers or Pharmaceutical Companies.
  • Must with strong capability of process excellence
  • Must have the EHS sense/background of Laboratory
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English very well, CET-6 is required.
  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree or above with the background of Chemistry, Bio-Science, Material Science, etc.
  • Must display a high level of confidentiality for both the customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
  • Must maintain Thermo Fisher Scientifics 4I Values.
  • Must have good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Must have good skill to work under pressure.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of personnel at customer site.
  • Must deliver excellent customer service to include maintaining a professional appearance at all time.
  • Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.
  • Must be able to use a computer and possess basic skills in Microsoft Office suite of software including Project, Viso, etc.

Working Conditions:

  • Works primarily at Zhangjiang Office in Pudong, Shanghai.
  • 25% Business travel is required.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
