Management Information and IT Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/Clerk II) in the Faculty of Science (Ref.: 497008) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics/Statistical Science/Computer Science, or related disciplines, with experience in analyzing large data set. Knowledge of coding and/or modelling and/or data cleaning is expected. Advanced MS Excel skills is essential. Knowledge of Python will be an advantage. Applicants should have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; the ability to present complex data in a simple, insightful and engaging manner; an interest in developing solutions to problems and finding new ways of working; be self-motivated, flexible, attentive to details; able to work under pressure and tight deadlines; and be a good team member. The appointee will assist in preparing management information reports and identifying potentially useful management information; assist in the automation of administrative functions of the Faculty through being involved in online system development, testing and documentation; and perform administrative duties as assigned.
