Pay
HK$64,973 to HK$131,423 per month (including Monthly Allowance)
Job
The appointee will be responsible for the following main duties:
Manage capital works projects and exercise close control on quality of works, project budget and expenditure.
Provide professional advice to hospitals on the preparation of building proposals, programmes, funds bidding and selection of works agents on capital works projects.
Oversee and manage compliance of statutory requirements/ordinances with respect to building facilities, building engineering operation and maintenance services in hospitals and clinics.
Facilitate smooth interface between respective hospitals, government departments, contractors, professional consultants, and other stakeholders.
Manage, monitor and report the performance of the professional consultants and/or works agents appointed for the delivery of respective projects.
Manage and monitor the preparation of contract documentations, cost plan, project programme, estimates, cashflow and final account.
Any other duties as required to facilitate implementation of capital works projects of the department including job rotation to other posts within and outside the department.
Requirements
Member / Corporate Member of a professional institution, i.e. the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Building Services Engineering disciplines or equivalent.
For applicants in the discipline of surveyors, at least 1 year’s appropriate post-qualification experience.
Preferred Attributes
Considerable experience in handling capital works projects.
Conversant with Hong Kong constructionand buildingrelated legislations and government procedures and policies on delivering public projects.
Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese, with good presentation skills.
A high degree of self-motivation and strong organizational ability.
Knowledge of MS Office, project management and database software.
Remarks
May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA.

Appointment will be on contract terms for a period of 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance.
Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply`. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.
