Lead and manage AIA Group’s Anti-Money Laundering Centre of Excellence (AMLCOE) for AML Quality Assurance (QA). The position is a Group Compliance extended role and seeks to ensure AIA has an effective AML QA Programme.

• Responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of QA responsibilities assigned to the AML COE.
• Partner with Business Unit Chief Risk Officers, Heads of Compliance and Heads of AML to design and implement an AML QA Programme that is effective and fit-for-purpose.
• Conduct risk assessments, data analysis, sample tests, root cause analysis and relevant statistical analysis to assess quality and effectiveness of AML related controls in AIA Business Units and to identify control weaknesses & improvement opportunities
• Recommend action plans aimed to enhance AML control environment, monitor progress of action plans and follow-up for timely completion of actions.
• Develop / recommend relevant standards and procedures to uplift governance of AML QA Programme and participate in assigned projects that are intended to enhance AML QA capabilities and automation.
• Design and compile risk based management information, dashboards and governance reports to effectively communicate the QA activities conducted, risks identified and outcomes achieved.
• Conduct training and awareness initiatives relating to AML, Economic Sanctions and risk culture; perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.
