Duties:The appointee will be responsible for initiating and executing research projects related to AI application in assessment and computer-based testing, performing high-quality analyses using different assessment technology tools and methodologies, conducting research and overseeing the timely delivery of quality outcomes for internal and external projects, developing value propositions and presenting to relevant committees, sharing on best international practices related to examinations, assessments and research, giving expert advice to Secretariat staff and other parties, and helping the Division Head oversee the smooth running of the Division with the objective of enhancing organizational practices and processes within the human and financial resources given.
Requirements:
(a) A doctoral degree in Education, Measurement and Assessment, Statistics or related disciplines;
(b) At least 6 years of managerial experience in management of research work;
(c) Abundant knowledge of research concepts and methods;
(d) Substantial knowledge of statistical tools and assessment technology;
(e) Experience in computer-based assessment and/or AI application in assessment and/or R-programming is preferred;
(f) Excellent analytical skills and professional report writing skills;
(g) Outstanding presentation and communication skills in Cantonese, English, and Putonghua;
(h) Experience in working with primary and/or secondary schools in Hong Kong is an advantage;
(i) Good interpersonal skills and teamwork spirit; and
(j) Candidates with less working experience will also be considered.
Employment Terms: The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
