The position is responsible for managing and leading Bancassurance sales development, driving premium income through existing and new bank relationships, in support of the Company’s profitability and sustainable growth objectives. The position is also responsible to become the work stream member for productivity and responsible to drive this workstream to achieve PD’s business plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Set key strategies and goals to achieve sales development and profitability objectives - ANP, FE productivity target, Credit Life and SME EB sales. Implement, monitor and review these in order to ensure targets are met, including for new region.

  • Support and drive bank partners to achieve agreed sales, VONB and persistency targets, coaching sales teams and mobilising business development initiatives as needed.

  • Maintain and build integrated, multi-functional [corporate] relationships with existing partners, and seek opportunities to develop relationships with potential new partners.

  • Coordinate product launches, sales promotion activities and other marketing activities in support of profitable new business growth and existing business retention.

  • Foster a strong sales and customer service culture by collaborating with colleagues and partners to enhance client satisfaction, persistency and workforce productivity. This includes building and establishing engagement with the RM, MR, FEs and Branch Managers of the new region

  • Manage team members to increase team performance and productivity levels, including becoming member of Productivity Workstream to drive PD’s Propel Strategy. Enhance competency of team members and ensure succession plans are established for key positions. This includes coaching and supervising the new region’s Regional Head and his team members

  • Cultivate and support an ethical culture to fulfill legal and compliance requirements, and encourage professionalism amongst stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, and/ or Professional Degree, any field

  • Required language(s): English

  • At least 8 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position

  • Preferably Managers with at least 3-5 years of managerial experience, specializing in Sales / Business Development, preferably within Insurance and/or Banking sectors or equivalent

  • Have comprehensive knowledge of bancassurance products and processes

  • Have experienced in coaching, training and developing sales team
