Job Description

COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE 

Manager (Branding and Marketing) (Ref. 20050601-IE)

Duties 

The appointee will be required to play an active role in strategic planning that supports institutional branding and marketing for advancing the University’s reputation among target stakeholders. The appointee will be required to: 

  1. design and deliver brand communications strategies and marketing plans for the University, and result-driven marketing communications campaigns that leverage multiple capabilities to build brand awareness and preference; 

  1. lead marketing communications activities to meet agreed strategic priorities, from project management to channel marketing; 

  1. plan and manage all aspects of international marketing to ensure that the University’s brand and reputation is optimised amongst target markets and segments; 

  1. translate organisation goals and strategies into creative and strategic content in different ways such as presentation, marketing messages, creative articles or videos etc., for building up branding and engaging various target audiences; 

  1. measure and report all branding campaign, assess ROI / KPIs, manage relevant marketing budgets, evaluate progress against plan and recommend corrective actions as needed;

  1. support competitive benchmarking and provide data-driven insights and best practice for strategic shifts;

  1. ensure all marketing materials and activities consistent and complying with the University brand guidelines and support the office to provide guidance when appropriate; and

  1. perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or her delegates.

 

Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

  1. a recognised degree; 

  1. at least six years of solid experience in branding, digital and marketing communications, preferably with solid experience in strategic planning; 

  1. strong business acumen and analytical skill; 

  1. ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines; 

  1. strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; and 

  1. ability to build strong working relationships with multiple teams and individuals, as well as the ability to influence, persuade and engage stakeholders and peers.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.  

 

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
