Support the team and countries to build actuarial and data analytics expertise in understanding Critical Illness (CI) risks and developing CI business.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Pricing Actuary of the team and support local product & pricing teams in understanding, pricing, and reserving for the risks of Critical Illness (CI) products
• Assist on data management and analysis in setting data standards and driving the analytics initiatives for CI risks
• Support medical research in translating BU requirements into research scope
• Share best practice on pricing and risk assessment with all BUs
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across AIA group and BUs

Requirements

• University graduate with minimum 5 years actuarial experience
• In-depth knowledge of assessment, pricing, and management of CI risks
• Fellowship in a recognized international actuarial professional body
• Strong business acumen, problem solving skills, numerical sense, and attention to detail
• Proven effective work delivery in dynamic, agile and/or complex multifunctional organizations
• Knowledge of insurance modelling software such as Prophet or similar
• Practical knowledge of life insurance products
• Self-starter
• Strong technical skills and negotiation skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent relationship management, strong team building, and the ability to work across business units and functions to drive positive business outcomes
