Position Summary:
Develop and execute the sourcing strategies and action for key assigned commodities to manage the quality suppliers from cost perspective to be more cost-efficient; actively review the area for improvements on selection of supplier of key commodities. Facilitate the cross-functional communication to drive optimized commodities sourcing strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop supply base and commodity strategies consistent with business initiative. Analyze suppliers and the industry, identify preferred suppliers, and regionalize, rationalize, optimize supply base;
• Track the global commodity trends, supplier and competitor strategies, key commodity cost drivers, economic factors and opportunities in the global market.  Actively identify the critical and key commodity categories for analysis and identify the area for improving the sourcing cost effectiveness;
• Conduct price and specification benchmarking with markets and recommend the action to minimize the purchase cost  and enhance the competitiveness of purchase;
• Actively evaluate the selection of suppliers and their quotation by data consolidation, analysis and supplier site visit;
• Deliver budgeted / forecasted cost reductions by assigned commodities;
• Source the suppliers proactively and utilize the best solutions offered from different suppliers for various parts of production;
• Manage the Suppliers / Supply Base in assigned commodities globally;
• Facilitate cross-department communications to drive the optimized sourcing strategies in product development program;
• Keep abreast with cost drivers and maintain competitiveness in purchase prices and spending to better manage the price;
• Bridge between GBUs, Engineering, Packaging, Procurement and Sourcing teams with collaboration in support of cost estimating / quotation process to ensure the best practice adaptation;
• Plan and execute of multiple sourcing projects with professional project management approach.

 Qualifications:

• Degree Holder, minimum 7 years’ relevant experience;
• Knowledge in toy manufacturing industry will be an advantage;
• Familiarized in material commodities sourcing; knowledge in electronics, packaging materials and plastic is must;
• Strong analytical skills, self-motivated & initiative, able to work independently;
• Strong communication skills with various departments, suppliers and management;
• Good command of spoken & written English & Chinese;
• Excellent in data analysis by using MS Excel;
• Experience in SAP operations is an advantage.
